Anne Daub

Imagination is paramount in my work. I am inspired by the ever-evolving relationship between our interior and exteriors. Subconsciously, I believe this is the focus of my work. Glass, old tools, vintage costume jewelry, cats, birds, typefaces, frames, timepieces, architectural details, chairs, chandeliers and printed images are just some of the objects integral in my work. My process is strictly intuitive and my intention is to create art that is intriguing, mysterious, playful and a bit mischievous. These combinations of materials produce layers of intricate imagery to look into and beyond. What one might see from a distance, the work unveils itself the closer one gets. There is no one single meaning.
